Faux French Tourism

 Friday and Saturday June 12 and 13, we're swingin' with Smokey Robinson and Dave Brubeck (on paper, anyway) at the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival in Rochester N.Y.  We'll play two sets Friday evening, at 7:15 and 9:15 on the Jazz Street stage, and we return to the same venue Saturday evening for a 6pm set.

Friday June 26 we're at the Oxford Wine and Art Festival in Oxford, Ohio (can't guarantee that Smokey will be joining us there).  We'll be back in Cincy at the Hyde Park Blast the following afternoon, Saturday the 27th from noon to 3pm.

Tink's Mondays

We're in our seventh year of Monday residency at Tink's Cafe in Clifton at 3410 Telford Avenue, near Graeter's and the Esquire Theatre.  Hear us weekly from 6:30-9pm. Great food, Gypsamerican jazz, rarely an authentic Frenchman or gypsy within miles, and you never know when Lee Konitz, Mayor Mallory, Joe Lukasik, Kathleen Sebelius, Melodica Virtuoso Steve Schmidt, or self-espoused harmonica legend Jim Tarbell will pop in.

WoodSongs

Our January appearance on Michael Johnathon's "Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour" with the Katie Penn Band is now airing on public television stations across the country.  As they say in showbiz, "check your local listings."  Or, at least, I've heard them say that.

CEA Award

After seeing our previous three Cincinnati Entertainment Award nominations go down in flames to the likes of Cat City and the Blue Wisp Big Band, we've finally garnered a CEA in the "best jazz" category.   Apparently there are no CEA "three strikes" laws currently on the books ..... 

"Oblivion" also received a nomination in the  "Album of the  Year"  category.  Thanks to our friends and fans for voting.
